Retailers respond to changing consumer dynamics, competitive pressures, and declining margins, by adjusting their strategies to ensure profit, market share and a competitive position. Category Management is a fact-based process supporting these retailer strategies. This workshop defines Category Management and how to assist retailers to transition categories to this process.  The process is examined from both retailer and manufacturer perspectives. Instructors facilitate ample opportunity for practice, execution, and evaluation. Workshop participants apply the skills learned of the course in training scenarios that are integrated with descriptions of actual industry events.
